Physical activity helps everyone regardless of gender, age, or physical ability. Here are seven ways regular exercise can help improve your life.

Exercise boosts your energy level. If you find yourself getting winded by walking up a flight of stairs or carrying in the groceries, regular physical activity can help you breathe easier. Physical activity delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues in fact, it helps your entire cardiovascular system. When your heart and lungs are working more efficiently, you'll find you have more energy to do the things you enjoy.

Exercise may help to keep your weight under control. When you workout, you burn calories. Burning extra calories helps prevent you from storing those calories as fat. Burning extra calories can also help you get rid of excess stores of fat.
